Adrianna's Biography

Welcome To Adrianna's Thoughts In Wool
My mother is a hooker. A rug hooker and she's addicted! I've gone to numerous Salvation Armies and Thrift Stores with mom in her search for wool. Usually she can get a bag of wool for fifty cents. My mother even went on a rug hooking cruise! How she got my father to go along with her on that is way beyond me. I'll go visit my mother an there she'll be in a flurry of colorful fluffs of wool. She first draws the picture on the backing then with her wee wool shredder she gets a shredding. Then the hooking begins. Look out! Last summer I tried to with no avail to get her to sell some of hooked folk art, mini masterpieces as the stack of rugs was that high. But she said she couldn't part with them. I guess I understand. She has enough rugs for me and my other siblings to side our houses in. When I told her of this notion she agreed to try to sell some of them. So here I go uploading Rugs. All rugs can be bought by sending a check or a money order to Audrey Swan 7703 South Hamilton Rd, Earlville NY 13332 Please add 15 dollars to total price for shipping and handling. Rugs can also be purchased at the Fenimore House, The Cooperstown Farmers Museum in Cooperstown NY and The Earlville Opera House in Earlville, NY.To contact my mother please email her at ajswan20@yahoo.com These rugs are one of a kind rugs! They will never be reproduced so you are buying an original piece of folk art history! All Adrianna's Rugs are hooked on premium linen backing. All wool is either hand dyed or from recycled wool and is hand cut size 8. Adrianna also recommends hanging these rugs from carpet tack strips that can be purchased in the rug/flooring section of Lowes or Home Depot or your local hardware store.

Spring Fling March 19th 2012

Here's Mom's newest rug to celebrate spring! You'd think she was a farmer from the looks of all these animals. I mean this in a good way being a hobby farmer wanna be.
